Program Overview

211 Wisconsin, in partnership with AARP, is offering direct and consistent contact to caregivers throughout the state. This project is intended to reach informal/unpaid family caregivers who are 18 years or older, who are providing care to those 18+ or those under 18 with special needs. If you, or someone you know, could benefit from this type of connection, call 211.

In the caregiver outreach program, you can receive:

  • Direct one-on-one connection with a 211 Caregiver Navigator for up to 10 interactions, at a frequency you choose
  • Phone conversations that provide supportive listening Referrals to resources based on your request
  • Follow up calls regarding referrals to discuss any issues or additional needs
Many people serve as caregivers and may not even recognize themselves as such. Common support roles that caregivers provide include:
  • Transportation to appointments, therapies, or daily activities
  • Managing or paying finances and expenses
  • Daily care support like medication management, meal preparation, and household chores
