You’ve been identified as someone who values and successfully employs Community Health Workers (sometimes known as promotores(as) de salud, community health representatives, neighborhood or patient navigators, outreach workers, or other titles), and we’d like your insight.

United Way of Wisconsin is managing a HRSA grant aimed at increasing the number of Community Health Workers (CHWs) trained and employed throughout the state. This project aligns with our focus areas of education, economic stability, and health. We’ll be using grant funds to develop a CHW Registered Apprenticeship program for Wisconsin. This apprenticeship program would build on the CHW Core Competency training already taking place through Great Rivers HUB, Milwaukee AHEC, and Unite WI.
