On behalf of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Integrated Services Delivery Team (ISD), we invite you to this Community Conversation with United Way of Wisconsin on May 23, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Concourse Hotel in Madison, WI.

United Way of Wisconsin's Wisconsin Information and Referral Exchange (WIRE) project is ongoing and is aligns with the interest of our agency's ecosystems. The project is leveraging partners and projects to generate win/win situations for people we serve and governmental programs. The discussion will be facilitated by United Way of Wisconsin, the state organization responsible for the WIRE project.

The general purpose of the conversation is to improve the state information technology (IT) and state program staff's awareness of the WIRE project to meet State, Agency, and program goals. This community conversation is an opportunity to see where United Way and WIRE is going, as well as begin to consider if down the line individual agencies, or teams, want to leverage.

In the discussion participants will:

  • Learn about 211 systems and WIRE, share IT and Program/Policy program activities, initiatives, and/or projects with mutual goals.  This may include person centered planning and service delivery, connecting the dots through improved referrals between programs and services, and data tools and governance to improve customer experience.
  • Build a shared understanding how 211 expertise and activities from WIRE, IT, or Policy/Program projects could be leveraged to meet mutual goals.
  • Identify potential barrier to leveraging WIRE project to meet agency goals.

If you have any more questions about United Way of Wisconsin, 211, or the WIRE project please reach out to Kelcie McElhenie at kmcelhenie@unitedwaywi.org.
