This conference–organized by the Wisconsin Community Action Program Association– serves as a forum to address poverty in Wisconsin and to assist attendees in pursuing the goal of economic self-sufficiency for Wisconsin’s low-income households. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss innovative ideas, identify new and continuing successful strategies and help build a stronger connection between communities and low-income households. ‘Poverty Matters!’ brings together human service professionals, community leaders, state officials, low-income advocates, educators, and low-income individuals to discuss the causes of, and solutions to, poverty.
