Cancellation Policy

Cancellations emailed by Friday, January 31, 2014 will be honored with a refund less a $75.00 administrative fee. Cancellations received after
January 31 will not be refunded, however you may arrange for a substitute to attend in your place.

Conference Overview

The 2014 Great Rivers Conference (GRC) is scheduled for February 18 - 21, 2014 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.

United Way professionals and volunteer leadership are invited to participate in learning and networking opportunities that focus on cutting edge professional, system and personal development with the goal of increasing United Ways' capacity to improve lives and conditions in the community.

Our aim is to ensure an accessible, quality learning event for staff and volunteers from communities of all sizes. GRC is appropriate for staff and volunteers of all levels of experience and is designed to be a quality learning opportunity in a welcoming community ambiance. We welcome you to participate in the Great Rivers Conference learning community. 


Welcome to United Way and select other pre-conference workshops will be offered as complimentary workshops on February 18.

How to Register

  1. Select the Register Now button at the top of the page.
  2. Complete the registration form and submit payment. If you are unable to register online or pay with a credit card, call Emily at 608.246.8272 for assistance. 

    If you wish to use flexible credits, you may use them to REIMBURSE your expenses. You must pay your registration fee, hotel and travel expenses and then submit to have your expenses reimbursed after the conference. Find more information, see Using Flexible Credits below. 

Registration Fees

The registration fee covers all program events including conference workshops, keynotes, hospitality suite, host city welcome and daytime meals and refreshments for the day(s) you are registered.

Early Bird Registration: $550 (deadline January 17)

Full Registration: $625 (received after January 17)

Speaker Registration: $475 (reduced fee for confirmed conference presenters)

One Day Registration: $275 (includes workshops, meals and events for 1 day only)

Additional Fee: 
Bring a guest to the Host City Welcome Event (Wednesday evening): $50

Using Flexible Credits to Reimburse Conference Expenses

Provided you have sufficient Flexible Credits, you may use them to reimburse the Early Bird registration fee, hotel room and qualifying travel expenses. 

You must pay your registration fee, hotel and travel expenses as they are incurred. After the conference, you will receive an email from United Way Worldwide with a link to the reimbursement form. You will then have 10 days to submit your expenses for reimbursement.
